The baby was born on 29 March 1985 at Roswell located in the state of New Mexico. Gerina Michel Mendoza was her name at birth. Gerina Stevenson, the Mexican child from Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson, is born in Mexico. Stevenson is of Mexican roots, yet is American in nationality. Her passion for sports began as a small kid. Gerina first began playing golf at 15 years of age. Gerina finished her high-school education through Goddard High School. While in highschool, Gerina took home the New Mexico golf state tournament. In addition, she was a volleyball player at the state level. She attended the University of Texas in 2003. During her senior years she won every tournament she competed in. In her undergraduate time, she was awarded an award for Conference USA Individual Champion Player of the Year award and the Female UTEP athlete of the year.
