Katherine Heigl is open about being raised within "a White bubble." She also shares the impact that this realization has had on the parenting style of her adopted children that are multiracial. She was in the movie "Firefly Lane", revealed to a reporter that it did not matter how dark her skin color was for her. After meeting her Korean-American adopted sister she realized the difference in the way people were treated by her. "I I asked my sister Meg, if she had been treated in one manner while walking around with our parents, and another way when she went out alone without them. Meg responded "Oh Yes! All the time!" It made me realize I had been so naive," Heigl said to her parents. The actress said that she was upset, but she felt that she had to channel her anger to help her adopted daughters. Heigl has a four-year old son and a 13-year-old wife, Josh Kelley. Their daughter was adopted by them Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide 8 years old and Black from South Korea in 2012.
